Start with inspection, especially the sole

Check the bond between the upper and sole, tread wear, heel lining, insoles, and closures. Test and inspect carefully before presenting a pair as wearable. A good-looking upper does not establish the condition of the whole shoe.

Set aside pairs needing research or repair. Listing software can help organize the information, but it cannot physically inspect adhesives or establish authenticity from appearance alone.

Let the tag narrow the identity

Capture a legible photo of the size and style tag. Use the style code to confirm the model rather than guessing from color or silhouette. Verify the category against the outsole and the intended sport.

An indoor soccer shoe, a turf shoe, and a running shoe may look similar from the side. The model information and outsole can explain a difference that matters to the buyer. Keep US, UK, and EU sizes in their correct fields.

Use a repeatable shoe photo sequence

Keep the photos of each pair together in Batch Upload. Before processing, check that similar-looking pairs have not been combined into one group.

• Both shoes together for the main view.
• Outer and inner sides, toe boxes, and heels.
• Both outsoles and any separation or wear.
• Readable size and model tags.
• Insoles, accessories, and the box when included.

Finish the shipping and profit check

Weigh the pair in its actual shipping packaging. A retail shoe box may need an outer carton, and that changes the dimensions and weight. Saved box templates help with repeat packaging, but verify the packed result.

Compare sold prices for the same model, size, condition, and included packaging. Record purchase cost and selling expenses so your next sourcing decision reflects the money retained after the sale.
