Build your listing plan
20 listings per week · 15 items cleared per week after new arrivals.
After four weeks: approximately 60 unlisted items.
Assumes a steady weekly pace. Listing is not the same as selling. Your entries stay in this page and are not saved.
The short answer
Enter the number of unlisted items, how many you can list per session, your weekly sessions, and the new items you bring in each week. This planner estimates the weeks needed to reduce the backlog, assuming the same pace continues. No account is required.
How the estimate works
Weekly listing capacity equals items per session multiplied by sessions per week. Subtract new inventory arriving each week to estimate the net reduction in the pile. Divide the current backlog by that net reduction and round up to a whole week.
Example: 120 unlisted items, five items per session, four sessions per week, and five new items per week. Capacity is 20 and the net reduction is 15, so the estimate is eight weeks.
What a growing-pile result means
If new inventory matches the listing capacity, the pile stays roughly the same size. If incoming inventory is greater, the backlog grows. Change the incoming volume, the number of sessions, or the number of items completed per session to compare a different plan.
When listing capacity is zero, there is no clearance estimate. This model counts completed listings and incoming items, not sales, donations, or other inventory dispositions.
Use a pace from a normal week
Use the number you can inspect, photograph, review, and list sustainably. A best-ever session can create an appealing estimate that is difficult to repeat.
The result is a planning estimate, not a promised completion date. Research-heavy items, breaks, and changes in sourcing volume will change the outcome. No entries are sent to GrimLister or saved by this calculator.
Move from the plan to the next small batch
Choose the first few identifiable items and give them a complete photo session. In GrimLister, use the Death Pile to organize waiting inventory, Batch Upload to prepare the photos, and the Listing Bank for review.
Grimmy can give the next session a small, visible listing goal. Use your actual completed work to revise the pace as you learn what fits your week.
Common questions
Does the planner predict when my items will sell?
No. It estimates how long it takes to list the backlog under your assumptions. Listing an item does not guarantee a sale.
Why does my pile never clear in the estimate?
Your incoming items equal or exceed your weekly listing capacity, or you have no listing sessions. Adjust those inputs to see a declining backlog.
